What an amazing first day of school! Thanks to everyone who helped make today a great first day for kids! Go Eagles!

We experienced some delays in our buses leaving school today. We apologize for any inconveniences this has caused you or your student. This issue aside, we had a great first day of school and look forward to seeing our students tomorrow. Have a wonderful Tuesday evening!

Important 2022-23 Breakfast and Lunch Information: For the past two years, every Mayflower student has eaten breakfast and lunch for free due to federal funding. Unfortunately, the funding to provide free meals to all students ran out this summer. This year the cost for breakfast will be $2.00 per student, and the cost of lunch will be $3.00 for elementary students and $3.25 for middle and high school students. We encourage all families to complete the free/reduced lunch application (even if you think you may not qualify). Simply completing the application helps the school district. You can find the application here: https://family.titank12.com/application/new?lang=English

It's game day for your Mayflower Eagles! Come out tonight and support your Eagles as they take on the Perryville Mustangs in this year's benefit game! Jr High starts at 6:00pm and Sr. High begins at 7:00pm. Go Eagles!

Important Bus Information:
School starts on Tuesday, Aug. 23. All students planning to ride the bus will need to be at their designated pick up location 25 minutes earlier than last year's pick up time. In the afternoon, buses will pick up elementary students at 4:10pm, middle school at 4:15pm, and high school at 4:20pm. Please be patient with our drivers and staff as we get into a routine and can better estimate when students will arrive home.

Come join our team! The Mayflower School District has current openings for bus drivers, custodians, and a technology assistant. For more information to apply, follow this link: https://mayflower.tedk12.com/hire/index.aspx

This request for input is being shared with stakeholders from ForwARd Arkansas.
ForwARd Arkansas is a nonprofit focused on the state-wide improvement of education in Arkansas.
Earlier this summer, Forward launched a new project, in partnership with DESE, called the "State of Education in Arkansas."
If you'd be willing, we would love to have your input and voice as a part of this project.
Over the next many months, we will be coordinating an extensive effort to gather as much input as possible from district leaders, school leaders, educators, and families across Arkansas. Our plan is that this project will lead to a report that elevates:
Where the state has made progress in education over the last 5 years
Where we are currently, especially in light of the COVID pandemic
Critical education priorities for the next 5 years informed by those in districts, schools, and communities
We have launched a brief survey (5 to 7 mins) that is appropriate for any stakeholder.
We hope you'll join us in this process. Thanks for your consideration!
